POTSDAM -- Noah Joseph John Adams was welcomed into the world at Canton-Potsdam Hospital on Jan. 2 at 8:47 a.m., the first baby born in 2011 at the hospital.
Noah weighed 5 pounds, 15.2 ounces and measured 19 and three quarter inches when he arrived to meet his parents, Tia Snyder and Joseph Adams of Massena.
Due on Jan. 10, his early arrival did not make him the first born in the count
The father, Joseph Adams, is a registered nurse in the Critical Care Unit at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Sandra Tomalty and Kathy Londraville, Potsdam Hospital Guild members, presented the family with a basket of blankets, books, baby essentials, and a handmade quilt, all donated by the Guild.
In addition, Tri-Town Girl Scout Troop Number 103 donated a basket of goodies to Noah.
