GOUVERNEUR -- 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County will offer kids activities at the 2016 St. Lawrence County Fair from Aug. 2 to Aug. 7 at 85 East Barney St., Gouverneur.
This year’s 4-H theme is “Through the Generations,” and there many activities and booths highlighting work done by youth in the county.
In addition to 4-H club displays, there will be local businesses and organizations running activities for kids. Organizations participating include Gouverneur Head Start, USDA Soil and Water, Eat Smart New York, Mason’s Safety ID booth, and Seaway Valley Prevention.
There will also be a fashion/mannequin modeling show on Tuesday evening, “Barnyard Olympics” on Friday evening, and a Saturday night movie showing of “Charlotte’s Web.”
Ongoing activities include robotics, rocket building, arts and crafts, and other hands-on projects for youth of all ages. Animals shows will be taking place throughout the week.
The Youth Building is open daily from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
