POTSDAM -- A Brasher Falls woman turned herself Wednesday for allegedly stealing more than $2,000 from a Potsdam business in 2010.
Carrie Burnor, 27, was charged Wednesday morning with first-degree falsifying business records.
Potsdam Police say Burnor entered the Potsdam Police Department to surrender herself on an arrest warrant issued by the Village of Potsdam Court in August 2010 following the police department’s investigation into thefts at a Market Street business where Burnor had been employed.
Police said the investigation showed Burnor unlawfully obtained $2060.43 by ringing up a cash transaction, voiding the purchase, and keeping the money.
She was issued an appearance ticket for Potsdam Village Court.
