MASSENA -- A Massena teen died after being stuck by a vehicle while walking home from work along county Route 55 on Wednesday.
Nathan Thrana, 18, was pronounced dead at Massena Memorial Hospital following the accident, according to state police.
Troopers say they believe he was dressed in dark clothing while walking on the roadside.
Erin S. Smith, 27, of Helena, was the driver. Troopers say she has not been charged.
Tri-Town Fire and Rescue assisted State Police at the scene and transported Thrana to Massena Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by Doctor Helina Cessna.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.
