BRASHER FALLS – The Brasher Falls School District is enrolling children Feb. 13 to 17 for kindergarten in the 2012-13 school year.
Children in the Brasher Falls District who are five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2012 are eligible to register for kindergarten. If you have a child or know of a child who is eligible, you are asked to contact the St. Lawrence Central Elementary Office at 389-5131, ext. 1300. A registration packet will then be sent to fill out and return during registration week.
Registration will be held the week of Feb. 13 to 17 in the elementary school office from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents or guardians will need to bring the child’s birth certificate, the child’s immunization records, proof of residency with street address on it, such as a utility bill or cable bill, and any court papers, if applicable.
It is not necessary to bring the child to registration. A kindergarten screening for the child will be scheduled on April 2, 3, or 4.
Meanwhile, parents interested in universal pre-kindergarten for their children are invited to an information night on March 22 at 6 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria.
