A Brasher Falls resident serving in the U.S. Marine Corps is is looking to raise $3,500 to aid military members and their families.
Michael Ortman is participating in a Nov. 2 marathon in New York City hosted by Hope For The Warriors.
The group provides assistance to servicemen and women and their families as they deal with physical and psychological trauma.
The Marine Corps Ladies Auxiliary recently donated to Ortman's cause.
