MASSENA -- Village police say a Brasher Falls man is jailed without bail after being charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop.
Melvin R. Huff, 44, of 504 Hurley Road, Brasher Falls is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony and a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and inadequate muffler, police said.
Police stopped Huff early on Monday morning on South Raquette River Road and allegedly found him with about 15 grams of crack cocaine, oxycodone pills and marijuana.
He was charged at 1:08 a.m., arraigned by Massena Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail, police said.
