Lewis W. Clark, 49, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse and course of sexual conduct against a child, both felonies, troopers said.
The arrest stems from what state police describe as “an extensive criminal investigation” that started with Fulton-based state police in December.
Clark knew the alleged victim, police said.
He was arraigned in Brasher Town Court by Justice Jerry Mahoney and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond, police said.
Clark is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Brasher Town Court, troopers said.
