CANTON – A bomb threat hoax forced the evacuation of Canton Middle School Friday.
“A report by a Canton Middle School student to a faculty member of a scribbled bomb threat on a stall wall in a boys’ bathroom precipitated a precautionary evacuation of the school,” said Superintendent Bill Gregory in a statement Friday afternoon.Canton and state police responded immediately, Gregory said, and students were moved to the bus garage while a search was conducted. No bomb was found.
Students were bussed home or released to their parents at the regular dismissal time.
