Blood drive June 18 at CPH will take double-red-cell donors
Tuesday, June 15, 2010 - 5:11 pm

POTSDAM – Canton-Potsdam Hospital hosts a Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 18, in Conference Rooms A and B at the hospital on Leroy Street.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Call 261-5413 to make one.

One DRC, or Double Red Cell donor, will be taken at the top of the hour at 11 a.m., noon, and 1, 2, and 3 p.m. A DRC donor is one who can donate twice the usual amount of red blood cells.

This is done by separating out the red blood cells from your contribution on the spot so they can return the rest of the blood products to you.
