COLTON — Colton United Methodist Church has brought a food pantry to their front yard.
The box, which stands in front of the church, allows anyone in the community who is in need a chance to easily and anonymously pick up donated items anytime day or night, the church said in a press release.
People are donating essentials to help fulfill short-term basic needs for those who don’t always have access to them - everything from non-perishable food to toiletries and baby care items, the church said.
As the sign on the Blessing Box states: “take what you need – give what you can.”
“The hope is that these small acts of kindness will make a difference in some family's life,” a press release from the church said.
