NORWOOD -- Sue Perry, owner of Perry’s Big M, has donated $1,000 to the Norwood Fire Department to go toward this year’s 4th of July fireworks show.
“This contribution is a major kick-start towards covering the thousands of dollars invested in Norwood’s famous 4th July fireworks demonstration,” said Norwood Fire Department Treasurer Tim Donohue. “The $2 contribution at the gate can no longer cover the cost of such a large display.”
This year the fire department has asked its local merchants “to help keep Norwood’s 78th celebration the biggest and the best in the North Country,” Donohue said.
“Perry’s Big M has always been there for the Fire Department and Sue’s support is most appreciated.”
