The weather in the North Country has been great, and we get one last dry day today before rain and cooler temperatures come for this weekend.

While skies will remain relatively cloud free in the North Country, a northerly flow will continue for most of the day and keep temps in the region right near seasonal normals, nearing 70 today.

A low pressure system is moving in from the Ohio Valley into New York and New England, the National Weather Service predicts.

What is expected to start as rain Saturday will become more showery in nature Saturday night, with highs approaching 60 degrees during the day and overnight lows staying near that mark, the NWS says.

Showers are expected to continue on Sunday as skies gradually clear and the sun comes back. Highs Sunday will again approach 70 degrees with overnight lows round 50.
