The North Country is in for another beautiful day today with sunny skies, warm temperatures and just a hint of wind, and a fair night into Monday morning, but significant rainfall is expected Monday night and Tuesday.
The thermometer will top out at about 75 degrees this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight, skies will be mostly clear and lows will be 55 to 60 degrees with light winds.
It will be warmer Monday, around 82 degrees, and clouds will accumulate during the day, as the chance of rain builds to 80 percent into Monday night, with lows in the mid-60s. The NWS is warning of a quarter to a half inch of rain.
Rain is expected to continue into Tuesday, with a 90 percent possibility and rainfall amounts up to three-quarters of an inch. Highs will be in the mid-70s. The rain is expected to diminish Tuesday night but remain a threat Wednesday and Wednesday night before clearing out for Thursday.
