Beautiful day on tap in North Country today, showers, maybe thunderstorms Sunday

After a mostly sunny day yesterday, clear skies today will allow the North Country to be bathed in sunshine, something that has been in short supply lately.

High pressure over the St. Lawrence Valley will keep cloud accumulations away as temperatures rise to a seasonal 75 today.

But low pressure will move in from the Great Lakes tonight into Sunday, bringing clouds, showers, and possibly thunderstorms tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

High pressure is predicted to return to the region by the middle of next week.

You can track the storms through the features on the NorthCountryNow.com weather page.
