
Another great day is on tap for the North Country.
High pressure moving slowly over the East will provide the North Country with clear and dry conditions and a gradual warm-up in temperatures through the end of the week. The next chance for precipitation, according to the National Weather Service, will come Friday afternoon and night as a low pressure system approaches from the Great Lakes region making for a slight chance of showers Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures will quickly rise into the mid 60s by mid-morning today and further into the upper 70s and lower 80s this afternoon. Winds will be picking up through the day increasing to 10-15 mph by the afternoon with some gusts in the St. Lawrence Valley of 20-25 mph possible.
The weekend outlook: mostly sunny, highs around 70.
