POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam is hosting a bone marrow donor registry drive Thursday for Be The Match from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in SUNY Potsdam’s Student Union.
Be the Match is the new name for the registry operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).
Joining the registry starts with a simple cheek swab. Visit www.bethematch.org for more information about becoming a donor and the health guidelines.
Last year’s drive at SUNY Potsdam was successful in terms of the number of people who registered and the fact that one of their donors has already been called to donate.
The event is free and open to the public. Monetary donations for Be The Match will be accepted at the event.
