BANGOR -- State police on Thursday charged a man with hiding a woman's body on the side of the road.
Earlier in the week, troopers had put out a request for information from the public after the discovery of a body on the side of Baker Road in Bangor.
Police have identified the body as Carrie Spaulding, 49.
Dr. Francis Varga performed an autopsy on Monday at Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake. The results are pending, police said.
State police say they continue to ask anyone that has information to contact The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Malone at (518) 563-3761.
Peter Spaulding was arraigned Thursday in Bangor Town Court where he was remanded to the Franklin County Jail.
