MORRISTOWN -- Bad brakes are being blamed for an accident that sent a 2007 Chevy Impala into the St. Lawrence River.
Krystal J. Farrell was heading north on English Settlement Road in Morristown and attempting to stop at a stop sign at the intersection on State Route 37.
Troopers say Farrell attempted to use the emergency brake without success and continued down hill after leaving the roadway before coming to a rest in the St. Lawrence River.
She was ticketed for inadequate brakes and speed not reasonable and prudent, but no injuries occurred.
