POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library is offering the OneClickdigital app from RecordedBooks which can be downloaded from its web site at www.potsdamlibrary.org .
Audio books can be downloaded to most portable devices. “The big advantage of this app,” commented Director Pat Musante, “is that there is simultaneous accessibility. One book can be accessed by many people. There is no waiting.”
There is a tutorial and step by step directions. Users will need a Potsdam Library barcode number. Help is also available on a one-on-one basis at the Public Computer Center in the library. Calling for an appointment is recommended at 265-7230.
“The Juvenile and Young Adult sections are particularly good with many selections and populat writers available, “ added Ms. Musante.
The library, like most of the libraries in the North Country Library System, also offers downloadable e-books and audiobooks through the Overdrive app, however, there is normally a waiting period for these materials.
