Assemblywoman Addie Russell (D-Theresa) will be attending several events this Labor Day Weekend:
• Saturday, Aug. 30
9 a.m., attending and making remarks at the dedication ceremony of the Robert R. Bjork Park in Ogdensburg.
1 p.m., attending and making an announcement in Madrid at the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum dedication of the School House.
• Sunday, Aug. 31
11 a.m., making an announcement at the Heuvelton Fire Department.
1 p.m., walking in the Heuvelton Parade
• Monday, Sept. 1
10 a.m., walking in the Solidarity Parade in Massena.
Russell is running to keep her seat in the 116th Assembly District, which includes all the St. Lawrence County towns along the St. Lawrence River, plus Ogdensburg, Canton, Potsdam, Rossie, Macomb and DePeyster, and northern Jefferson County.
She has attracted challengers from the Republican Party – John Byrne III of Cape Vincent and John Humphrey of Brownville – and Russ Finley of Lisbon representing the Conservative Party in the contest.
