Ashley Furniture Homestore in Malone will close Oct. 12, but the Massena and Potsdam locations will continue operating.
Owners John and Linda Bartlett said they will soon pass many of their duties to their daughter Aimee Lemiux.
"With the Malone location being the furthest out, and knowing that many of our customers from that area already shop at the Ashley Furniture Homestore in Massena and Potsdam we decided that the Malone location would be the one we would close."
In the statement the Bartlett's offered appreciation to their customers and promised to continue the same level of service they have always provided.
"After 12 years we have formed a loyal base of customers in the Malone area and we will continue to service them through the other two stores," the statement said.
