MORRISTOWN -- An Ogdensburg man shot himself in the leg while trying to break-up a domestic dispute Saturday.
Scott L. Palmer, 18, of Morristown was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing after he allegedly fired the shotgun in the vicinity of other family members during a domestic dispute.
Mark L. Palmer, 49, of Ogdensburg tried to remove the weapon from the area but accidentally shot himself in the lower leg during the process.
Mark Palmer was transported to Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, where he was treated for a gunshot wound.
Scott Palmer was arraigned in Morristown Court and released under probation supervision He is scheduled to answer the charges June 6.
