CANTON -- The Any Music Singers will present two concerts, to help raise money for the Canton United Methodist Church’s Steeple for the People restoration project.
The concerts, titled “Audience Favorites!,” will showcase favorite songs selected by audience members from the community.
The wide variety of styles includes classical music, jazz, spirituals, barbershop, pop music, and folk musics from South Africa, Bulgaria, Ireland, and Russia.
The concert will first be presented Friday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m., at Peterson-Kermani Hall on the St. Lawrence University campus. The concert will be presented again Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Canton.
Donations made at the concert will go towards restoration of the UMC steeple.
The Any Music Singers is an open community chorus, directed by Paul Siskind. Formed in 2012, TAMS attracts singers from around the North Country.
