Fire fighters cut into the roof of the burning house
ANTWERP – A fire last night caused substantial damage to a house at 41674 Spragueville Road.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to St. Lawrence County fire officials, and other details have not yet been made available.
Antwerp, Gouverneur and Oxbow fire departments responded.
The house is in the Town of Antwerp. The blaze was right on the St. Lawrence County-Jefferson County border, so neighbors called emergency services in both counties.
The investigation is being carried out by St. Lawrence County investigators.
