OGDENSBURG -- Ansen recently donated a defibrillator to the city to display in a city building.

During a recent visit from city manager John Pinkerton, an Ansen official said it would be nice to have an AED that was manufactured at their facility by local residents, displayed for use in one of the city’s venues.

On April 9 Ansen welcomed the mayor, city manager as well as several city councilors and department heads and presented them with a Lifeline AED.

The donated AED is the latest version, which was introduced in 2011. AED’s which have been manufactured in Ogdensburg ship all over the world with instructions for 17 different languages. A few of the notable places that the defibrillators are located include Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, rest stops along Canadian highway 401, Delta Airlines, and even the Vatican, Ansen said.
