CANTON -- The 23rd annual “Seniorama” health and information fair will return Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with dozens of health vendors, live music and giveaways.
The event will take place at SUNY Canton’s Roos House and is geared toward senior citizens and their families.
Vendors are expected from local hospitals, banks, county agencies, nursing homes, insurance companies, non-profit groups, Hospice, political candidates, senior clubs, homecare businesses and more.
An opening ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a strength and balance program from Canton-Potsdam Hospital PTA Matt Akins at 10:30 a.m.
From 10 to 11 a.m. there will be by music from the band Time Line and Rochelle LaShomb will entertain with line dancing from 1 to 2 p.m.
The States, with Marty Bates and Jamie Stein, will play music starting at 2 p.m. and there will be door prizes throughout the day.
There will be a snack bar available all day.
A shuttle bus will take people who attend from the main parking lot to the building.
The campus is located onto State Highway 68. Turn onto the campus at the light and follow the signs.
The event is open to the public and admission is free.
The event is sponsored by New York Statewide Senior Action Council’s North Country Chapter.
