POTSDAM -- Due to the generosity of building owner Spencer Thew, the Robert J Freego AMVETS Post 282 at 6771 US Highway 11 will be reopening for business Jan. 4.
The AMVETS post had temporarily closed to readjust schedules, bartenders and operating hours.
Hours will be Wednesday and Thursdays, 2 to 8 p.m., Fridays 4:30 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays 2 to 8 p.m.
All area veterans are encouraged to stop by and visit the post. Membership applications are available from the bartenders.
Community members are invited to stop in and sign the guest book.
They offer the post for private parties, Celebrations of Life and small events.
The post is providing free live music Fridays from 5 to 8:30.
