OSWEGATCHIE – An Amish infant suffered a leg injury Sunday after a Rensselaer Falls motorist allegedly struck the horse-pulled buggy the baby was riding in, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Travis O. Quicke, 23, of 416 County Route 14, Rensselaer Falls, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and uninspected motor vehicle after he was later located in the Town of Canton, deputies said.

The infant was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment of the injury, deputies said.

Deputies investigated the Irish Settlement Road accident after receiving a complaint.
