POTSDAM -- Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3.14) around the world.
Due to the recent snow storm which hit St. Lawrence County, and the subsequent school closings, Pi Day at A.A. Kingston Middle School in Potsdam had to be postponed for a few days.
Seventh grade math teacher Trudy Knowlden celebrates Pi Day each year with several activities.
Students have the chance to recite this never-ending number, and win prizes and recognition.
Dhir Patel set the seventh grade school record at A.A. Kingston with 499 digits. And, perhaps the most ironic way to celebrate Pi Day is with a pie-eating contest, which Cade Saiff won.
