POTSDAM -- Village police broke up a fight Tuesday morning among several people at a construction site behind Cheel Arena at Clarkson University.

Several contractors working at that site became involved in an argument over the alleged theft of tools and equipment that escalated into a physical altercation, according to police.

The responding officers separated and interviewed all parties. Some of the missing construction equipment has been returned to the owner.

Their investigation continues.
