Alleged credit card theft leads to felony charge for Norfolk man

MASSENA -- A Norfolk man was being held in jail on accusations that he stole his mother’s credit card and made numerous purchases.

Jason A. Clookey, 34, of 8545 State Route 56, is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police said he allegedly took a credit card belonging to Robin Clookey in December and made more than $1,000 in purchases. He also allegedly took a gas card provided to his mother by her employer, Danko Construction.

He was taken into custody at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, arraigned in Massena Village Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
