Police said a woman reported her purse stolen from Highland Avenue. The purse allegedly contained multiple debit cards, personal checks, a black cell phone and about $80.

The victim stated on Dec. 3 she had received bank statements from Seacomm and Walmart that revealed purchases had been made from the cards that were in the stolen purse. The arrest took place at 7:30 a.m. at the Massena Police Department, 60 Main St.

Bormann was jailed for his part in conspiring to rob a generator and hedge trimmers from a Massena home. For more, see story.
