North Country Rep. Elise Sefanik’s campaign committee has announced endorsement of her by all Republican members of the state Assembly in the 21st Congressional District, including several that represent parts of St. Lawrence County.
Stefanik, a first-term Republican from Willsboro, is running for a second term, facing Democrat Mike Derrick of Peru and Green Party candidate Matt Funiciello of Glens Falls.
The endorsements come from:
• Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush of Black River, 117th Assembly District, including the towns of DeKalb, Gouverneur, Hermon, Russell, Edwards, Fowler and Pitcairn
• Assemblyman Marc Butler of Newport, 118th Assembly District, including Madrid, Norfolk, Stockholm, Parishville, Pierrepont, Clare, Colton, Clifton and Fine
• Assemblywoman Janet Duprey of Peru, 115th Assembly District, which includes Brasher, Hopkinton, Lawrence and Piercefield in St. Lawrence County.
"Congresswoman Stefanik has been a steadfast advocate for the issues that matter most to our region,” said Blankenbush. “I am proud to support her for re-election and look forward to continuing to work with her to improve the North Country."
“I’ve been honored to work with these leaders to help deliver real results for our North Country families and businesses,” said Stefanik.
