POTSDAM – Appointments with the Potsdam assessor for review of assessments are filled all the way to Grievance Day, May 28.
Many Town of Potsdam property owners have been waiting see Assessor James Snyder to appeal for a rollback of their most recent assessments. At a town board meeting last month, about 100 people showed up to complain that they felt their new assessments were unfair.
“At this point grievance applications will be accepted up to grievance day, which is May 28, or people can some in person on May 28 to state their case in front of the Board of Assessment Review,” said an announcement from
Assessor Snyder. The board will be available that day from 10 a.m. to noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Potsdam Town Hall, 18 Elm St. More info: 265-2810.
