OGDENSBURG -- Gary R. Alford will be Ogdensburg’s City Court Judge, having beaten his opponent Marcia LeMay by 39 votes, according to unofficial results.

Elections officials could not provide the tally number Wednesday, but said unofficially that Alford was 39 votes ahead after absentees were counted.

On election night Alford was ahead by just 19 votes out of a total of 2,613 ballots cast.

Board of Elections officials said they gave out 252 absentee ballots.

There are also affidavit ballots that have not been counted.

Alford is a part-time Ogdensburg City Court judge. He has practiced law for the past 18 years with offices on Caroline Street.
