Alcoa Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley to help with the organization's palliative care home support program.
The program helps seriously ill patients better manage their treatment at home and avoid re-admittance to the hospital.
Alcoa's Communications and Public Affairs Manager Laurie Marr recently presented the check to Executive Director of Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley Brian Gardam.
