NORWOOD -- More than a dozen Alcoa employees volunteered to help out at the Ellen Richards Memorial Breast Cancer four-miler on Oct. 5. Organized by Alcoa employee Pam Rowe, the event attracted 75 walkers and runners and netted almost $6,000 for the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Cancer Patient Navigation Program.

This was an Alcoa Month of Service event and an ACTION (Alcoans Coming Together In Our Neighborhoods) Grant event, which means that the employee volunteers earned a $3,000 grant for the cause.
