Akwesasne police seek two parolees wanted on violation warrant; considered dangerous, may be armed

AKWESASNE -- St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police say they are seeking two brothers wanted for parole violations who are believed to be in Akwesasne.

Edward M. Logan, 27, and John D. Logan, 30, served time for a March 2012 incident where they shot someone in the leg, police said.

Both are considered dangerous and Edward Logan is believed to be armed, police said.

Both of them pleaded to second-degree assault.

John Logan is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 217 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was paroled from Bare Hill Correctional Facility on March 7, 2014 after serving 20 months of a two-year sentence.

Edward Logan is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was paroled from Gouverneur Correctional Facility on March 13 of this year after serving just under two years of a three-year sentence.

Investigators said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of either should notify tribal police at (518)358-9200 and take no other action.
