AKWESASNE -- The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, 873 State Highway 37, will host a free spring bridal show in the Winter Ballroom Jan 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The show will feature dozens of vendors, a fashion show, door prizes, and gift bags for each bride.

The event, planned in conjunction with Joanne Dumers of Cheers Event Planning in Raymondville, will include dozens of local businesses from across the wedding industry.

The fashion show will begin at 1 p.m. and hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the day. The show will include four bridal shops with gowns, tuxedos, and bridal attire.

A drawing for a hotel and spa package giveaway will be held. The giveaway includes a complimentary hotel stay, dinner for two, and a couple’s massage at Sweetgrass Spa.

Brides who book a wedding in the Winter Ballroom from Jan. 19 to Feb. 20 will receive a complimentary bachelorette party. Brides will also be entered into a grand prize drawing for as much as $5,000 off their wedding.

Benjamin Herne, promotions/events manager, will serve as the event’s emcee.

Local wedding disc jockey “Wheels of Steel” will provide entertainment.

Vendors will include Fountain’s Florist, Leroy’s Fountains, Sposa Bella, One Fine Day, Chair Affair, Tuxedo Studio, IYQ Balloons, Wheels of Steel DJ, On the Edge Designs, Laura’s Bridal, and Belle Pastries.

Today’s Hair & Spa, Tupperware by Lorraine, IT Works, Forever More Photo, 2 Mamma Birds, Passion Parties, Rev. Lisa Jock, Chocolate Chicks, Rebecca Delisle - Lingerie, Dee’s Crafts and Cheers Events will also be featured.

Benedict Limos, Thompson Makeup, Simply Eventful, Listen Entertainment, Sweetgrass Spa, Midnight Confetti, and Carol Lee Shoppe are also signed up.
