The New York Power Authority recently held a two-day Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) workshop for middle and high school students from the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Johnson O' Malley Program to help spur interest in energy-related fields.
The workshop, which is designed to address the STEM achievement gap in underrepresented communities, is organized by NYPA’s Environmental Justice department.
The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Johnson O’ Malley program is a federally funded program providing a variety of education workshops for Native American students in the Akwesasne area.
