CANTON -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Afterhours Center at 80 East Main St. will close early tonight to facilitate the installation of a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit there.

The center will accept patients until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 and re-open at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, to allow for preparation of the area that will house the new 3T Skrya MRI, just outside the lower-level entrance of the building.

A construction crew will work through the night to ensure occupants of the building are able to resume business as usual on Thursday morning, an announcement from C-PH said.

Afterhours in Canton will re-open on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Normal business hours for the clinic are Monday-Friday 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In the event you have an emergency, people are advised to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
