POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam students Danielle Smith, Sara Phillips, and Juliana Brush are raising money to fund the Adopt-A-Bear Cub Program. The program is an after-school mentoring program for Kindergarten through fourth grade children at Lawrence Avenue Elementary.
The group is in need of funding to help provide a nutritious snack and extra homework help to the students, many of whom come from low-income families.
SUNY Potsdam community members can donate a dollar with any purchase made at the Union Market or the College Store.
Donations can also be mailed to Susan Pike, ABC Program, Lawrence Avenue Elementary, 29 Leroy St., Potsdam. Any checks can be made payable to Lawrence Avenue Elementary.
Donations well be accepted through Nov. 20.
