Hikers from the Laurentian Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club recently made a circuit of Wellesley Island State Park in the Thousand Islands.
Highlights included rugged terrain, views of the St. Lawrence River with some ice still in evidence, and a surprising diversity of wildlife.
The public is welcome to take part in the chapter's hikes and cycling trips planned this spring.
