Additional heat benefits offered through 'Care and Share' program in St. Lawrence County
Heating assistance for those who have exhausted their resources will be offered through the Care and Share Program.
The program can help with up to $200 towards a fuel delivery or an electricity bill for HEAP recipients, who are National Grid customers.Those interested must call for an appointment. The schedule is as follows:
• Feb. 20: The Massena Neighborhood Center will be at the North Lawrence Town Hall, 11403 U.S. Hwy. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3p.m. Call 764-0050 for an appointment.
• Feb. 24: The Potsdam Neighborhood Center will be at the St. Phillips Episcopal Church, 42 North Main St., Norwood, from 9 to 11 a.m. Call 265-3920 for an appointment.
• Feb. 24: The Gouverneur Neighborhood Center will be at the Star Lake Housing complex from 9 a.m. to noon or longer as appointments necessitate. Call 287-3370 for an appointment.
Feb. 26: The Potsdam Neighborhood Center will be at the New Beginnings building, 20 Elm St., from 1 to 7 p.m. or as appointments necessitate. Call 265-3920 for an appointment.
