90 participants in 5k run raise $6,907 for Canton's Renewal House

The Renewal House annual Mother’s Day 5K Fun Run and Walk at the Remington Recreation Trail, Partridge Run Golf Course, hosted 90 participants with 28 sponsors who helped raise $6,907. All money received supports domestic violence and sexual assault services to victims in St. Lawrence County.

The grand prize, a Dyson vacuum cleaner donated by Sears in Potsdam, was won by the Merz family of Ogdensburg for raising the most money.

Medals were awarded to the first woman, man, girl and boy (12 and under) to cross the finish line. Winners were Danielle Talbot, Massena, 18:59; Lennie Davis, Potsdam 19:52; Ashley Furgison, Waddington 41:32; and Evan Davis, Potsdam 23:19.
