POTSDAM – Potsdam Lions Club is seeking new members to become involved and help support area communities in the Potsdam Lions' 81st year of dedicated service.

In this past year, the Potsdam Lions Members completed over 20 civic projects, raising over $10,000.00, for community needs.

Lions International is the world's largest humanitarian service organization, celebrating their 100th year of service to people around the world in over 200 countries. Lions Clubs, which began as a businessmen service group, in Chicago, IL in 1917, has grown to 1.4 million members in 47,000 Lions Clubs working hard in their towns and cities to improve and uplift communities.

The Lions Club have hosted meetings at 1/2 Ton's Sports Bar & Restaurant on Market Street during 2016-17.

“It has been an enjoyable venue to complete important work and gather together for a delicious dinner,” a press release said. “Special thanks to Brittany, our excellent and gracious server, assistant manager Robin Peetes, who set up the dining room especially for Lions dinner meetings, and Manager Jeff Delosh, who allowed the Potsdam Lions to have an all accessible, convenient and very pleasant place to meet.”

Call Potsdam Lions Secretary, Michelle, at 315-742-2172, for membership information.
