CANTON -- A village taxes unpaid affidavit will be sent to St. Lawrence County’s Real Property and Taxation office for $75,454.82.
The amount represents the village taxes which were not paid by property owners this year.
Village Clerk Sally Noble, at the village board meeting Oct. 16, said the amount is less than last year’s unpaid amount of $95,000.
The county will reimburse the village for the unpaid amount sometime this spring.
