7-Eleven, Inc. says it has no plans for the two Sugarcreek stores in Norwood and Potsdam it closed recently other than for them to be sold or sub-let.

7-Eleven spokeswoman Margaret Chabris said the Dallas-based chain, which bought Wilson Farms and its former Sugarcreek stores in 2011, is “divesting itself of the stores because they are too far from other store bases” in the group.

7-Eleven has leased the properties, and would like to see the property sold or sublet, and Chabris offered the name and number of the property agent to anyone who is interested.

People with a serious plan for either property may call National Realty and Capital Advisors at (800) 747-3342, ext. 1305 to discuss arrangements.

The two stores that have closed in recent days, at 26 North Main St. in Norwood and 80 Market St. in Potsdam, have had signs removed or covered and gas pumps at the two locations have been boarded over.

7-Eleven bought 188 Wilson Farms stores in 2011, which included several Sugar Creek stores that Wilson Farms had previously bought.

Meanwhile Stewart’s Shops has purchased the Sugarcreek stores on Maple Street in Potsdam and State Street in Heuvelton and is converting them.
