POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam is welcoming nearly 600 alumni and friends back to campus during Reunion Weekend 2017, from Thursday, July 13 to Sunday, July 16.
With a number of special celebrations and commemorations, alumni have also chosen to give back to their alma mater as they head back for reunion. SUNY Potsdam alumni and friends have given a total of $1,994,288 in honor of 2017 class reunions, as of July 11.
Four classes have exceeded their class giving goals this year, including:
The Class of 2007, with $18,000,
The Class of 1992, with $17,644,
The Class of 1987, with $21,694, and
The Class of 1967, with $1,262,034.
The 50-Year Club, which is made up of all classes from 1966 and earlier, has $615,555 in class gifts this past year, to benefit students and programs at SUNY Potsdam. This giving includes both outright gifts and the establishment of funds through planned or estate giving.
Gifts support a variety of vital resources and financial support for research, student travel, equipment, technology, scholarships and so much more.
